GUYVER
Overall Rating = 7 Out of 10
Animation :
SCORE
7 / 10
The animation is decently developed, it isn't the smoothest of animation, but it has a bit more detail then your average animation. The battles include a lot of chopped up body parts, and a fair bit of blood so this would not be for your younger audiance. The veriety of monsters that he fights is limited, I would assume to make animating them easier. The characters are distinct enough that it is easy to tell them apart. Overall I am happy with the animation, they don't go overboard on the blood, and the extra detail makes up for the animation not being perfectly smooth.
Voice Acting :
SCORE
5 / 10
I find the english voice acting to be average, in other words I've seen a lot worse. It's unfortunate that it's hard to find good voice actors for a lof the anime that is dubbed in english.
Storyline :
SCORE
8 / 10
The story line is decent, it is all about a guy who stumbles upon alien technology (The guyver unit) that is being sought after a large company who is researching genetic mutation. then the story progresses as the company does everything in its power to retrieve the alient artifact from this person using his friends and family against him.
Mood setting :
SCORE
8 / 10
The mood set in this anime is a serious action style. There isn't many jokes, the characters are often depressed, or struggling. I would not recommend this for younger audience as some situations are very depressing and sad. There is a lot of action sequences of the main character fighting off the mutated grunts sent by the company to retrieve the Guyver unit, they are often fun to watch, and not overly drawn out (ala DBZ).
Information : Developed during 1989-1992
